Application for MassBioEd's Biotechnology Summer Institute 2026

Thank you for your interest in the 2026 MassBioEd Biotechnology Summer Institute.

Please find below important information that you must consider before completing the application process.

There are two options for the 2026 Summer Institute:

2-day option (August 10 and 11) focused on biomanufacturing
5-day option which starts with the same first 2 days and includes a lab-intensive component during August 12–14

August 10th and 11th will be hosted at Northeastern University – Innovation Campus, 147 S. Bedford St., Burlington, MA. Onsite parking is free.

The lab component on August 12th -14th will be hosted at the Biogen CoLab in Kendall Square. Parking will be provided within a 15 minute walk of the lab.

The hours are 8:30 AM - 4 PM each day.

All participants, whether in the 2-day or 5-day program, will receive a $220 stipend and $200 to offset the cost of travel to the program.

Space is limited in the 5-day program. Preference will be given to those who will be actively teaching 3 or more life sciences or biotechnology classes in Massachusetts.

To finalize your registration, you must complete this application form and return it. After review of your completed application, we will invite you to participate in the 2-day or 5-day program or let you know that you are being placed on the waiting list.

If you are invited to participate, we will send you a registration form and require a $200 deposit to reserve your spot in the program.

Why the deposit? We incur a non-refundable deposit for facility use, based upon the number of participants. Also, we anticipate that more teachers will register than we have room for, so we do not want to be holding a spot for someone who is not committed to attending. Thank you for understanding.

You will receive a full refund of this deposit upon completion of the program.

We are looking forward to receiving your completed application form!
