Description

In this lab, students will use gel electrophoresis to analyze dye samples—simulating DNA fragments—from a litter of puppies. By comparing the size of the DNA pieces, students will determine which alleles each puppy has and predict which puppies are most likely to grow long hair.

Time: 45-50 minute class period (additional time needed if students pour gels)
